Star Wars

tl;dr My Star-Wars-related posts here. My all-Star-Wars blog here.

When I began My Quest to Blog Every Day in 2015, I knew I would write about things that interested me, like exploring Los Angeles’ culinary scene or cheering on my favorite sports teams. What I didn’t expect was how much of my blog I would devote to Star Wars. It’s always been a part of my life, but like most childhood loves, Star Wars eventually faded to the background.

Then last November the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser was released.

As much as I tried to keep calm about the whole phenomenon, I was fighting a losing battle. My inner geek was thrilled like it hadn’t been thrilled in years. The only thing I can compare it to was seeing The Dark Knight for the first time, when I felt like Christopher Nolan got it right.

Of course, this goes way beyond that. Where Nolan was capturing my teenage appreciation of Frank Miller’s gritty telling of Batman, J.J. Abrams is bringing me back to my earliest moviegoing experiences. The ones where the movies were the highest form of entertainment to my seven-year-old eyes.

My eyes are much older now, but I still believe that the Star Wars universe is the highest form of entertainment. Click here to find all of my Star Wars-related posts. Or better yet check out my all-Star-Wars blog, Lando’s ‘Stache.

And may the Force be with you.
